Despite the increased popularity of ‘in slab’ solutions and floating floors, it remains the most common form of underfloor heating installation.
With this installation method the underfloor heating installation taken place in a largely completed building, weathertight, with doors and windows installed.
The underfloor heating, complete with installation/edge insulation, is laid on a concrete subfloor and is then overlaid with either a fibre reinforced sand cement screed or a flowing calcium sulphate screed.
